Professional Paint Correction Services in Fort Lauderdale FL

Remove those swirls and scratches from your paint and bring out the shine

Restore Your Paint’s Gloss and Clarity

Has your vehicle’s paint lost its glossy finish? Swirl marks, oxidation, and water spots can take away from your car’s overall appearance, making it look aged and neglected. This is especially noticeable on dark-colored vehicles where imperfections stand out the most. Our paint correction services are designed to remove these imperfections to restore a mirror-like shine to your paint.

What is paint correction? Paint correction is a special process that removes imperfections such as light scratches, oxidation, swirl marks, and water spots from your vehicle’s paint through machine polishing.

How do you get those imperfections? Over time, exposure to harsh weather and improper washing techniques cause damage to your car’s paint. Our paint correction and polishing process restores the paint’s depth and clarity, giving it a showroom-quality look once again.

We use professional-grade compounds, pads, and polishers to remove defects safely without harming your clear coat. Unlike temporary fixes that hide swirls with fillers or waxes, our process offers true correction—permanently improving your vehicle’s finish rather than masking the imperfections.

For added gloss and protection, we can apply a ceramic coating after the paint correction process, which locks in the shine and provides years of durability against environmental contaminants.

Our Paint Correction Process

Whether you drive a work truck, a luxury car, or a daily commuter, we take the time to ensure the job is done right. Unlike high-volume car wash lots, we focus on delivering exceptional quality on every vehicle we work on. Some vehicles require a different process, but here’s what it looks like:

Thorough Exterior Wash: Before any correction begins, we perform a complete exterior wash to remove dirt, dust, and road grime. We also clean the wheels and tires to get rid of brake dust and built-up debris.

Decontaminate the Paint: Even after washing, contaminants remain embedded in the paint. This is where we use a clay bar treatment and iron decontamination to pull out any remaining dirt and pollutants, leaving the surface smooth and ready for polishing.

Paint Inspection and Test Spot: Before we start polishing the paint, we inspect the paint and measure the thickness of the clear coat to determine the safest and most effective correction method. We also perform test spots to select the ideal polish and pad combination for the best results.

You don’t want to just start polishing with whatever combination because you don’t know what’s going to get you the best results or you don’t want to over polish a panel that has less clear coat.

Removing Swirls, Scratches, and Oxidation: This is where the real transformation happens. Using dual-action polishers, cutting compounds, and microfiber pads, we methodically remove surface defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation. This will vary greatly depending on the condition of your vehicle and what you’d like to accomplish.

A light polish will remove minor defects while a heavy multi-step correction will remove 85% or more of the imperfections.

Protecting the Paint: Once the correction is complete, we lock in the results with a high-quality paint sealant or ceramic coating. A sealant provides six months of protection, while a ceramic coating offers years of durability and protection.

Final Detailing Touches: To finish up the detail, we clean the glass, dress the tires, wipe down the door jambs, and inspect every detail to ensure your vehicle looks flawless. Any areas that need to be addressed we’ll do so then.

Choose Your Level of Paint Correction

Every vehicle is unique, and the level of correction required varies based on the condition of the paint. Below are our service options:

All-in-One Polish: A quick polishing enhancement that removes about 20% of imperfections while boosting gloss. Perfect for newer or well-maintained vehicles. Your paint will look better but there will still be plenty of swirls and imperfections in the paint.

One-Step Polish: This is where we start to remove some level of defects in the paint. This removes 50-60% of swirls, improving clarity and shine. Ideal for daily drivers.

Two-Step Correction: This is a more extensive process that removes 80-90% of paint imperfections, giving your car that like-new finish. Great for heavily oxidized or swirled paint.

There’s no right or wrong answer to which level of paint correction you choose. It’s all dependent on your car’s condition, your budget, and what you’d like to get done. A heavily swirled vehicle can still greatly benefit from a one-step polish and make a dramatic difference. And a newer vehicle that’s in great condition only needs a very light polish to get it up to standard.

Paint Correction FAQs

Can I ceramic coat my vehicle without paint correction?
Ideally, you’d want some level of paint correction or polishing done on your vehicle before you coat it. Even if your vehicle is brand-new with no swirls on it, we’d give it a very light polishing pass to ensure the paint surface is properly prepped and cleansed. On vehicles with heavier swirls, paint correction is definitely needed. Without the proper prep, you won’t gain the benefits of a coating as it’ll be locking in the imperfections.

Does paint correction remove deep scratches?
It depends. Light surface scratches can often be removed, but deeper ones may require wet-sanding, touch-up paint, or repainting altogether. This is something we can inspect and assess in person. You’ll be surprised on how much we can remove from your paint without needing to go to the body shop.

How long does paint correction take?
It can take anywhere between four hours to two days to complete. It depends on the level of correction required based on the condition of your vehicle.

Will swirl marks come back after correction?
They won’t if the vehicle is properly maintained! A big part of lasting results will be in proper washing and drying techniques with quality microfiber wash mitts and drying towels. This will prevent new swirl marks from forming.
